Wildfire

Wildfire


Sparks of fire, infernos arise,

like coloured glass and fiction in my eyes

Hidden in the flames, echoes exclaim,

my tender heart feels no shame


Fear trembling, sadness wailing,

fumes vanquish emotions prevailing

Confidence accrued, feelings of vexation,

wildfire burns like devouring passion


The numbness is severe, 

although my mind is so clear, 

prickling across with intense pain


Ember's bright and my soft soul: Forgotten

holocausts have been caught within.

Poem - A Marguerite In this desolate sandcastle under, I hung, prejudice and beratement I experienced young my only solace was the flowers that bloomed dug down deep, I was there entombed With tattered clothes, she lifted her heels leaping over the fence that quivered my feels a yegg she was when she took the flowers that made me a guard day and night every hour Until it struck me that I had to help except I was grotesque and svelte but that never hindered me, blooming something unique just like the daisy frutescens , a marguerite Flower Smeraldo, there I had behind a mask, I ran a bit glad lush petals elegantly flowered and flourished till I realised the young girl had perished - Mridini Sivakumar (Poem inspired by the Italian tale, 'Flower Smeraldo') Image Credits: ArtStation  ©
